With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kevin Matthew Pitman on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at the age of 38. He passed away suddenly at his home in Fanning Brook, Prince Edward Island. He was the beloved husband and soul mate of Robert Warren of Fanning Brook, PEI and the cherished son of Richard & Joan (Chetwynd) Pitman of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Kevin was a loving brother to Craig Pitman (Ryan Mckenzie) of Halifax, and Marla (Mathieu) Germain of Yarmouth, NS, and the proud uncle to Téa and Chloe Germain. Kevin also leaves behind his dog, Summer, and Kitty who both miss him terribly.
Kevin brightened the lives of all those he touched. He and Rob were inseparable co-pilots in the adventure of life, enjoying their country home, exploring back roads, gardening, and of course watching movies – one of Kevin’s great passions. A generous, kind and forgiving soul, Kevin was also very creative, painting, drawing, and writing about the beauty and mystery he saw all around him every day.
His life, though short and private, was full and the way he embraced his true self and lived his best life each day inspired many around him. He will be sorely missed by all those who were fortunate enough to meet and get to know him. He made the world brighter and happier and his love will live on in all of our hearts.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Yarmouth NS, with the Rev. Dr. Shawn Kehoe officiating. Arrangements entrusted to MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Online condolences may be made at www.macleanfh.com
