After a peaceful battle with cancer, Neil MacDonald of Charlottetown, passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, age 79 years.
Loving husband of Gail; beloved father of Douglas (Dawna), Allen (Dawn), Marlene (Colin) MacDonald-Hartling and Andrew (Donna).
Grandfather of Jeffrey (Jodi) MacDonald, Jennifer (Trevor) Bevan, Nathan (Danielle Jordan) MacDonald, Brandon (Sandi-lynn) MacDonald, Hillary (David Proctor) MacDonald, Katie MacDonald, Sarah MacDonald, Leslie (Aaron) Cudmore, Kristy (Jonathan) McGuigan, Devin (Trish) Hartling and Sandi (Paul) Hartling.
Great-grandfather of Logyn MacDonald, Laken MacDonald, Elsie Kay Bevan, Annie Gail Bevan, Millie Dawn Bevan, Alivia MacDonald, Chloe Cudmore, Layne Cudmore, Lily McGuigan and Eve McGuigan.
Brother of Hazel Crosby, Shirley Pollard, Willard, Wendell (Heather) Audrey Auld (Eric Ellsworth), Lea (Colleen), Mervin (Debbie), Donna (Kent) Gorveatt and Terry (Gayle). Brother-in-law of Phyllis MacDonald, Colin Birt and Donna MacDonald.
Predeceased by his parents Percy and Emily (Seller) MacDonald, brothers Oliver “Ollie”, Borden and Lomer MacDonald, sisters Dorothy (Andrew) Crosby, Sandra Birt and Joyce (Preston) Richards, brothers-in-law Heath Crosby, Alger Pollard, Henry Ferguson, and Gerry Auld.
Neil was known to many as the operator of Neil’s Ambulance Service. Neil was an active member of Park Royal United Church and volunteer of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation and the Town of Stratford.
Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Funeral Friday from Park Royal United Church at 10:00 a.m. (by invitation only). For those wishing to attend virtually, the service will be live-streamed on the church’s Facebook page. Interment in the Peoples Cemetery.
