The death occurred peacefully at Whisperwood Villa on Monday, October 7, 2024, of Irene Jewell of York, age 97 years. Wife of the late Parker Jewell.

Irene is survived by her children Eleanor (Fred) Anderson, Irwin (Cheryl), Edwin (Dawn), Dale (Sheila), daugher-in-law Barb Jewell and grandchildren Aaron, Katie, Scott, Dustin, Randy, Emily, Jordan, Alana, Andrew, Amy-Mae and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Katie Chappell, brother Clifford, and a brother and sister in infancy.

Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Funeral Wednesday from York United Church at 2:30 p.m. Interment in York Cemetery.
