The death occurred peacefully at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre, surrounded by family, on Friday, August 28, 2026, of Guy Franklyn Acorn of Charlottetown, age 69 years. Loving husband for 47 years of Doreen (Walsh), father of Cory, Guy (Crystal), and Sarah (Adam) Mitchell, and proud Grampy of Carly, Leah-Rae, Kyle, Cash, Seth, and Reese. Lovingly remembered by his mother Donna (Jenkins) Acorn, siblings Robyn (Billy) MacRae, Connie (Melvin) McQuillan, and Todd (Donna), siblings-in-law Gary, Brenda (Roy) McNabb, Paul, Cathy (Gary) MacKinnon, David (Sandra), Colleen (Robbie) Livingston, and their families. Predeceased by his father Franklyn, parents-in-law Ernest (Jean) Walsh, sister-in-law Lori and brother-in-law Kevin.
Guy was a social person – talking to anyone who crossed his path. He was a proud “hockey grampy” attending his grandchildren’s games from tip to tip. Guy was a diehard Montreal Canadiens fan since he was four years old.

Devoted father to Don, Ann (Dean), David (Annette) and Nancy (Edward). Grandfather of Andrew (Lisa), Robert (Christina), John (Taylor), Rebecca (Alex), Spencer (Molly), Jenny (Javier), Vicki (Chris), Stephen (Kamila), and Kate (Tyson), and great grandfather to Mason, Mila, Molly, Alex, River, Porter, and Olivia. Loving brother-in-law to Eleanor Compton and Joan (Bill) Macdonald.
Special thanks to the staff at the Provincial Palliative Centre for welcoming Dad and providing such excellent care during his brief visit. Also special thanks to Dad’s Chappell Court family where he resided for the past nine months. A very special thanks to Dr. Dawn Shea and Cindy for their outstanding care of Dad through the years.

The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, with family by his side, on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, of Gerard John Gaudet of St. Catherines, age 86 years. Husband of the late Janet Gordon Gaudet. Gerard was born on July 29th,1940 in St. Nicholas, P.E.I. to his late parents Anthony and Albina (nee Arsenault) Gaudet. Gerard was predeceased by brothers Lionel (in infancy), Gus, Al, Armand, Reg and Lionel Gaudet and sisters Lorraine, Louise, and Sr. Della Gaudet. Survived by brother Adrian, sister Teresa Arsenault, stepsons Kendrick Muirhead and Glendon Muirhead (Diane McCarvell), special niece, Sharon Gaudet, sister-in-law, Carol Gordon, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wish to thank the staff of Queen Elizabeth Hospital Unit 3 for their outstanding care and kindness.

It is with great sadness the family of Douglas Scott “Scotty” Stewart announce his passing on Monday, August 24, 2026, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, at the age of 87 years, with his wife Mary and family by his side.
Born in Charlottetown on March 18, 1939. He was the son of the late Earle and Ruth Stewart of Charlottetown. He was a devoted husband to Mary of 36 years, cherished his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Scott is lovingly remembered by his wife Mary (nee Folland), children Allan (Daisy) and Sandra, grandsons Nash and Chad, and great-grandson Axton and great-granddaughter Clara. Survived by siblings-in-law George, William (Ann), Arthur (Mary Louise), Arnold (Elaine), Marlene (Charles), Gordon (Barb) and Evan. Predeceased by his brother John “Jack” (Gladys) Stewart, siblings-in-law Rhea, James, and Joan.
Scott had a love of the outdoors for jogging, golfing, fishing, hunting, boating, and traveling. He made many lifelong friends doing what he enjoyed.
He was on the board of the Canadian Power and Sail Squadron and the Haviland Club.
His career was with Schurman Construction, the Province of PEI Environment and Fisheries Departments, and Ducks Unlimited Canda. He also had his own surveying company.
The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff of Unit 3 of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for their compassionate care.
Cremation has taken place. No visitation by personal request. Funeral service Friday at 10:00 a.m. from MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel.
