It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Linda Williams (nee Paquet) on Friday, March 13, 2026, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, with her family by her side.
Born and raised in Souris, a place she always held close to her heart, to Daniel “Ducky” and Helen Paquet on September 7, 1943.
Linda was a dedicated nurse who spent many years caring for others with kindness and compassion. She was a strong and resilient woman, a devoted mother, a proud grandmother, a sister, an aunt and a friend to many, whose love and guidance meant everything to her family.
She had a deep love for music and often played the piano, filling her home with melodies that brought comfort and joy to everyone around. Some of her happiest moments were spent during the summers at Sea Sound campground, that she loved so much.
Though she will be greatly missed, her legacy lives on in the values she shared, the love she gave, and the wisdom she passed on to those fortunate enough to know her.
Linda will lovingly be remembered by her husband, Leonard Williams; her daughters Terrie Williams (David Toombs); Renee Williams (Andrew Roberts); granddaughters, Sidnie Williams (Shane Medicraft) and Avery Hillstrom (Dez MacDonald). She is also survived by her brothers Stanley Paquet and Sidney Paquet, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Linda was predeceased by her sister Velma Chisolm; brothers, Wayne Paquet (twin) and Maynard Paquet, and nephew Jason Paquet.
At the request of the family, a Celebration of Life will be held in Souris at a later date. If so desired, memorial donations may be made directly to the Kidney Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Online condolences may be made at www.macleanfh.com

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Stella Paulette Creed (nee McCarron) on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with the loving support of her family, at the age of 73 years. Predeceased by her husband, Barry Creed.
Stella was born May 31,1952, to Alphonce and Lena McCarron. Sister to the late Harold McCarron, Sandra Daley, the late Shirely Deveney, Barry McCarron (Elaine), Winnie McGuigan, Brian McCarron (Gaylene) and Jerry McCarron (Nora).
Mother to Bob (Carmelle), Brady (Tammy), Brodie (Jolene) and Sandra Walker (Joe).
Stella met her soulmate at a young age, and they were married November 1,1969 and were together for 56 years until our dad’s passing on January 4, 2026. Mom had a special bond with each of her children and was the anchor of our family. Family was everything to our mother. Mom would do anything for her children and would plan for months to make sure we had what we asked for as kids for birthdays and at Christmas, or that we all were able to play all the sports we wanted, even when money was scarce. Our mother taught us many life lessons over the years and made us the people we are today. Mom showed us that to succeed in this world you need to meet all challenges head on and to never give up.
To her five grandchildren and one grandson, she was Nannie. Nannie always knew best and always could be counted on to come to the rescue. She loved and adored each of her grandchildren and went to great effort to make sure they each knew how special they were to her. She never missed an event that they were involved in. You would find her in the stands, at the fence or just standing close by enough that the kids knew their Nannie was there watching. Briana, Faith, Austin, Lena, Brae-Lynn and Sierra will cherish the adventures and memories made with their loving Nannie forever. Lovingly remembered by Olivia, Brian and Lucy Hicken and Madelyn and Matthew Bell.
The last life lesson mom taught us was through her 14-month battle with cancer. Words are hard to find to describe this journey. There were a lot of good and not so good days, but she faced every day with determination, courage, and perseverance. Mom showed us that in the end only family and friends matter in this world. Mom, you will be forever missed but always in our hearts.
