The death occurred peacefully at Beach Grove Home on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 of Stella M. Saunders of Mount Stewart, age 101 years. Predeceased by her husband Lloyd Saunders. Survived by grandson Michael Saunders and great-grandsons Zack, Brendan, Sean and Kalan. Fondly remembered by nieces Lynn MacAdam and Olivia Fisher who provided companionship and care, sister-in-law Shirley Affleck, numerous nieces and nephews and their extended families. Predeceased by her son James (Dawn) Saunders. The last surviving member of her family, she was predeceased by her parents Jonathan and Margaret (McAssey) Affleck, siblings Violet, Harold, Gladys, Lottie, Leith, Marjorie, Edson, Freda, Jean, and Bruce.
The family extends their sincere appreciation to the staff at Beach Grove Home (Sunset Unit) for their exemplary care of Stella.
