Peacefully, surrounded by her family, at Beach Grove Nursing Home on Saturday, March 23, 2024, of Melda MacBeth of New Dominion, age 75 years. Beloved wife of the late Colin MacBeth and loving mother of John (Kelly), Mark (Loralee) and Scott (Dana). Granny to Ethan, Matthew, Isaac, Audrey, Seth, Morgan, Alyssa, Brooke, Hattie and Henry. Sister of Mary Hawley, Margaret (Wes) Collicutt, Loring (Judy) Rayner and Bob (Bev) Rayner. Sister-in-law of Barb MacBeth, Nell (Garth) Mallett and Pearle (Reverend Dave) Howell. Predeceased by her parents Jabez (JL) Rayner and Margaret Hazel Pickering, brother-in-law Reverend Gordon MacBeth, and brother-in-law Jim Hawley.

Loving mother of Connie (Jason) Macdonald and Lee (Shehla) and Granny/Mamaw of Emma (Jacob) Walsh, Abby Macdonald, Sophie, Gabe and Lila Rooney. Lovingly remembered by her siblings Robert, Kirk (Debbie), Roger, Mary (Layton) Johnston and Arthur (Kim), sisters-in-law Joan Hickox, Mary Hickox and Imelda Rooney, brother-in-law Kenneth (Marion) Rooney, and their families. Renowned Island artist, Daphne Irving passed away peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. She was the daughter of Keith and Mary (Gilroy) Butler. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Ron Irving; her brother Dr. Eric Butler (Suzanne); her children Keith (Katherine), Martha (Anthony), and Anne Mack (Stephen) and six grandchildren: Madelaine Higgins; Simon Irving; Ellen, Nathanael, Thomas, and Laurel Mack.
