It is with great sadness we announce the death of Donna Switzer of Blooming Point, on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at the age of 71. Beloved wife of Trent. Loving mother of Kim (Thane) Kennedy and Wendy (Dean) Martin and Nanny of Sam, Leslie, Jordan, Erika and Reese and great-grandmother of Lincoln. Loving daughter of Pauline MacLean, sister of Allison (Linda) and niece of Lillian Dockendorff. Survived by sister-in-law Lynn, brother-in-law Ronnie (Mary Lea) and her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her father Henry MacLean.

It is with sad hearts, we announce the passing, on June 25, 2023, of Mary Eleanor Ross (nee Carson), age 94 years. Eleanor was the beloved wife of the late Clarence Ross of Bonshaw. She was a loving mother to Sheila (Farhad Shafiei) Ross of Burlington, Ontario and Carolyn (Scott) Meek of Windsor Junction, Nova Scotia. She was the dear grandmother of Sarah, Jack and Will Meek, and Ethan Shafiei. Eleanor was predeceased by her parents George Carson of Bonshaw, Blanche Carson (nee MacPhail) of Argyle Shore, and her baby brother.
Eleanor had a kind, compassionate heart and a warm personality which was evident to those she met. She loved all animals, especially her cat, Calyx. She loved spending time with Clarence, her daughters, their husbands, and her grandchildren. She also enjoyed chatting with neighbours, other family members, and her friends.
Eleanor worked at the Royal Bank in Charlottetown. She earned her teaching certificate at Prince of Wales College and then went on to educate students in several one room schools. For a number of years, she was a member of Bonshaw United Church where she played the organ and organized music for worship services. She was also a member of the UCW and the Women’s Institute where she helped others and made a difference in her community.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the nurses, PSW’s and all the staff at the Prince Edward Home for their compassion and care for Eleanor.

The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 of Judith C. Cotton (nee Lea) of Charlottetown, age 77 years. Beloved wife of Iver Cotton and step-mother of Shawn (Karin) and Nicole Cotton-Doiron (Curtis). Grandma of five wonderful grandchildren. Survived by brother Dr. Robert (Ann Marie) Lea and special niece Stephanie and special nephew Michael. Predeceased by her parents George and Hazel Lea.
Judy has left a tremendous legacy of nursing education and was cared for in her final days by numerous nurses whom she was honoured to teach.

Loving mother of Darlene Misener, sister of Heston (Francine) MacKay and sister-in-law of Anna MacKay. Fondly remembered by special nephew Winston MacKay. Predeceased by her parents Winston Churchill and Emmaline (Birt) MacKay and siblings May (Alton) Willis, Vera Birt, Bernice (John) Sampson and Fenton MacKay.
Viola spent her life caring for children and nurturing their curiousity. She was a mother-figure to all.

It is with heavy hearts, the family announces the passing of Ian MacLean MacLeod, K.C. of Charlottetown on Friday, June 2, 2023, age 92 years. Ian was the much-loved husband of Dorothy (Baxter) MacLeod. He was the beloved father of Evelyn and Miriam MacLeod (Robert Martin). He is survived by nephews Douglas (Linda Van Til), Gordon (Judy) and Garth Schurman, who also mourn his passing. Ian was predeceased by his sister Norma Jean (Robert) Schurman.

Lovingly remembered by sister Donna MacKinnon (Rick Arsenault), former partner and best friend Laura Monaghan, daughter Leslie Ann (Chris) Anderson, and grandchildren Otis and Eloise. Predeceased by his parents Ralph and Irma (MacLaren) Weeks, brother Douglas Lorne Weeks and his furry beloved BooBoo.
