The death occurred peacefully at the Atlantic Baptist Home on Sunday, August 29, 2021of Marion “Frances” MacDonald (nee Clow) of Grand Tracadie, age 92 years. Beloved wife of the late Allan MacDonald and loving mother of Blain (Debra) Clow and Sheldon (Sonia) MacDonald. Granny Frances to Holly, Stacey, Sean (Afton) and Sara. Survived by special cousin and best friend Marilyn (James) Martin. Aunt to Sheila Gallant. Predeceased by her parents Wallace and Hilda (Keizer) Clow, brother Robert (Ruby) Clow, and niece Sharon Clow.
Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel from where a private visitation and service will be held on Thursday. Interment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Beloved husband of Mary Martina (Francis) and loving father of The Honourable Catherine Benton (Darren Eisan) and David (Heather) Benton. Grampy of Rebecca and Rachel Eisan, Alicia (Matthew) Kingston, Maxwell Benton, and Connor Pollard-Brown. Great-Grampy of Quinn Kingston. Survived by brother Bill (Doreen) Benton, sister Bev (Ted) DeCorso, and siblings-in-law Marilyn (the late Jack) Sark, Dianne Francis, Alan (Karen) Francis, Carolyn Sark, Brian (Georgina) Francis, and Beverley (the late Michael) Francis. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Doris (Caswell) Benton.

The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 of Laura Meredith Black, age 76 years. Predeceased by her beloved parents Bunty and Norman Black and dear sister Cynthia Foley. Left to mourn are her sister Heather Hubley (Ken), nephew Steven Hubley (Joanne), and niece Laura Robinson (Travis), great nieces Riley and Hannah, and great nephew Brody.
Meredith was blessed to have wonderful and supportive friends and neighbours.
She will be remembered fondly for her caring and compassionate nature, her affection for dogs, zest for travel, and love of life.

Brenda passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on August 20, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Reginald Gamble and Mary (Welch) Gamble, sister to the late Brian, David (Wayne) and the late Alan, mother to Sheryl (Fred) Blanke, Michael (Jana) Arthurs, and Suzanne (Anthony) Ripley, grandmother “Nana” to Michaela and Emma Arthurs, Brianna, Marena, and Theodore Blanke, and Abagail and Ashley Ripley. Brenda was a dedicated and caring mother, loving grandmother, and a lifelong friend to many. Survived by special friend Sue Mazerolle.
Brenda was born in Saint John, New Brunswick on October 5, 1946. She graduated from Truro High School in Nova Scotia. She then went on to graduate from the Saint John School of Nursing. After working as a nurse for many years she eventually retired from Saint John Regional Hospital.
Most recently, Brenda was an active member of Grace Baptist Church in Charlottetown, and loved to sing in church choirs. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and spending time making homemade gifts and ornaments for her friends, family and church family. Brenda will be deeply missed and is now with her Heavenly Father.

Michael G. Meacher, of Charlottetown and Stanley Bridge passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on August 3, 2021 with his adoring family at his side. This gentle man of incredible strength, honour, courage and kindness, fought bravely to stay with us longer.
Left to mourn is; his loving wife of 61 years, Harriet (Campbell) Meacher; their cherished children, Jennifer, Carolyn (Gavin) and Michael; their precious grandchildren Lucy Harper, Logan and Michael McCulloch; his brothers, Walter (Lynn), Robert (Pamela) and John; his brother-in-law, Alexander B. Campbell (Marilyn); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Walter and Vera Meacher, his beloved sister Mary Lynne, his in-laws Thane and Cecilia Campbell, Virginia (Campbell) and Gordon Kinsman, and Melville and Mary Campbell.
A family committal service will be held at the Cavendish Community Cemetery on Tuesday August 10 at 1:30 p.m., followed by a friends and family celebration of Michael Meacher Darlin’s (MMD) life from 3pm to 5pm at the family cottage.

Born in Toronto on 18th of February, 1930, only son of Henry Eckley and Emily (nee) Reynolds. Pre-deceased by his sister Mrs. Yvonne Hawke and grandson Matthew. Best friend and loving companion of Barbara Helen Bolger.
Survived by sons William Andrew David (Shelley) of Port Coquitlam, BC, and Christopher Mark (Wendy) of Spruce Grove AB and daughter Laura Megan Bagshaw of Ottawa. Also survived by his grandchildren Patricia, Stuart, Angela (Jef) and Robert and by great-grandchildren Harmony and Elton. Loving step-father of Lee Helmer, Thane and Tim.
Bill joined the RCAF in 1948 as an AC2 and retired in 1978 as a LCol. He was awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration and two bars, together with the Queen’ Silver Jubilee Medal. After his retirement Bill joined the Canada Pension Commission/ Veterans Affairs Canada from which he retired in 1991.
A member of Trent Lodge #38, AF&AM, GRC, a life member of St Johns Lodge #1, F&AM, GRPEI, Cape Breton Preceptory #43, KT. and Tunis Temple #179, AAONMS. Past president and member of the United Services Officers’ Club of Charlottetown, member of the RCAFA, an associate Member of the RCAF Pre-War Club of Canada and member of Royal Canadian Legion #1 Charlottetown.
An ardent golfer and bridge player Bill kept busy in his retirement with these activities, plus reading extensively.
