The death occurred peacefully at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 of Anna Phyllis Ings (nee Hansen) of Charlottetown, age 82 years. Loving wife of the late Harley C. Ings. Beloved mother of Darren (Laurie), Sandra (David) Currie and Susan (Bryan) Draper and Grammie Anna of Morissa Ings, Christie (Nathan) Palmer-Ings, Rylee (Andrew) Karpov, Jesse Currie, Andrew Draper (Stephanie Maloney), Nathaniel Draper (Gabby Baranowski) and Alex Draper and Great-grammie to Valentina Karpov. Survived by sisters Greta (Paul) Jones, Elaine Godkin and Dorothy Hansen and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Frank and Eileen (Dawson) Hansen and brother Raymond (Violet nee Dingwell).

Hillard Graham Batt of Charlottetown died peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on September 17, 2022 after a brief illness. He was 98 years old.
Graham was born in Charlottetown on April 11, 1924, the only child of George Edwin Batt and Iva May (MacKenzie) Batt.
He excelled academically, winning various prizes and scholarships along the way. He attended West Kent School and Prince of Wales College in Charlottetown, and Dalhousie University in Halifax NS (B.A. 1946, LL.B 1947). He then studied at The London School of Economics in London England on an IODE scholarship where he earned a Master of Laws degree in 1950.
When Graham returned to Canada, he taught Law at Dalhousie University for a short time. In 1950 he began working in the Law Department of Imperial Oil Ltd. in Calgary AB.
Also in 1950, Graham married Ruth Dicks Macmillan of Charlottetown at The Cathedral Church of the Redeemer in Calgary. Their children, Margot and Jim, were born in Calgary.
In 1957, Graham was transferred to Imperial Oil’s Head Office in Toronto ON, where he worked at the newly constructed building at 111 St. Clair Avenue West. In 1972 Graham was made a Queen’s Counsel. He retired in 1985 from the position of Associate General Counsel, Imperial Oil Ltd.
Graham enjoyed music all his life. He also loved books and was an avid reader. He was quiet and reserved, always kind and generous-hearted towards his family.
In 1998 he and Ruth moved back to Charlottetown from Toronto. In 2017 they moved to The Mount Continuing Care Community, where Ruth died in November 2017. We appreciate all The Mount has done for Graham and Ruth.
Graham is survived by his daughter Margot Ruth Ball (Rick) of Charlottetown, his son James Graham Batt of Charlottetown, and his granddaughter Rebecca Mary Quintana (Chris) of Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Funeral Friday from St. Peter’s Cathedral at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the Peoples Cemetery. George was a proud Islander with strong ties to community, family and Island history. He was a graduate of Macdonald College, McGill University and applied his expertise in food technology and business to Maritime industries. Recipient of the Queens Jubilee Gold and Diamond medals, recognizing his contributions to public life.

Our family is heartbroken to announce the passing of Dr. Edward Lank, PhD. at Lille, France on March 21, 2022. Formerly of Cambridge, Ontario and Ebenezer, PEI, age 49 years. Loving husband of Michelle (Woodall) and father of Olivia and Charlotte. Beloved son of Miriam (Hyde) and the late William Lank. Brother of Wilma (Edward Wiebe) and Wendy (Keith Reismiller) and many nieces and nephews.
Edward was a professor and Cheriton Faculty Fellow in the Cheriton School of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo, as well, an Inria International Research Chair attached to Équipe LOKI at Inria Lille-Nord Europe in Villeneuve d'Ascq, France.
