Peacefully, at Beach Grove Home on Monday October 20, 2025, with the love of her family, of Jean E. Ready, of Charlottetown, age 88 years. Beloved wife of the late Clifford “Kip” Ready. Loving mother of Janice (Gerry), Jennifer (Doug), and Jeff (Kathy). “Meemaw” to so many, including Jeremy (Negin), Katie (John), Zach (Michaela), Jordan (Abby), Ben (Annie), Nick (Alison), Kip, Jeffrey (Kristin), and Laura, as well as her great-grandchildren Charley, Jay, Connor, Sofia, Leo, Clarke, Jake, and Poppy. Remembered by her brothers Don (Ileana), Alan (Maddy), Mark (Heidi), special friend Doug Cameron, as well as nieces and nephews Angela (Kurt), Tony, Ashley (Darcy), Andrew (Amila), and James (Beth). Predeceased by her parents Walter and Laura Pickard, sister-in-law Valann (Blundell) Pickard, and niece Courtney Pickard.

“Meemaw” believed in doing things for others, whether that be through the several charitable organizations that she was involved in, including WoHeLo and Run for the Cure, or supporting her children and grandchildren at the hockey rinks, swimming pools, golf courses, basketball and volleyball courts, or baseball and soccer fields.

She will be remembered by family and friends for her guiding presence, and instilling happiness in everyone she met. Her fundamental belief of “say no to nothing” has led to many memories and will live on for generations.

Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel from where the funeral will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Interment in Peoples Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the QEH Auxiliary/WoHeLo. Visting hours Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life after the funeral services, being held on Friday at 12:30 p.m. at Belvedere Golf Course.
