The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital surrounded by the love of family, on Monday, July 18, 2022 of Roger William Tanton of Charlottetown, age 85 years. Beloved husband of Eunice (nee Clarey), loving father of Paula (Wayne) Squarebriggs, Stephen Tanton and Grampy of Amber, Drake and Brett. Survived by siblings Darrold, Joanne Arvay (Arnis Zarins) and Peter (Debbie) and their families. Predeceased by his parents Willard and Gladys (Sentner) Tanton, sister-in-law Catherine (MacCallum) Tanton and brother-in-law Jim Arvay.
Roger was a past Commodore of the Charlottetown Yacht Club and spent many years enjoying the water. He was a successful business owner having operated Tanton’s Accessories for over 40 years.
Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. A private funeral service and Celebration of Life will be held in late August (by invitation only). Interment later in Sherwood Cemetery.
