As peacefully as Allan lived his life, he died in the same way on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the Souris Hospital with his cousin and dear friend by his side. Commonly known as "Big Al" by his many friends, he was presently living in the Wood Lawn Community Care Home in Souris. His end was his beginning for he was born in Souris on November 1, 1949.
After spending his younger school years there, he moved with his family to Montague and completed High School. He grew up in a home specially blessed by his Grandmother who was full of music, and who brought him study at the University of P.E.I. from where he graduated with the first class to receive Music degrees.
Allan spent most of his life living in Charlottetown where he was employed by the Islander Motel, the Charlottetown Legion and teaching English to immigrants.
His incredible "bass" voice was greatly enjoyed and appreciated over the years in the Confederation Center and St. Peter's Cathedral choirs.
He will be greatly missed by his sister Susan Nowosad (Dan), his cousin Nancy MacLean-Eveson (Larry), aunt Joan MacLean, very good friend Father David Garrett and all his St. Peter's Cathedral family. "I don't sing because I'm happy, I'm happy because I sing."
His cremated remains will rest in All Souls Chapel Friday afternoon and evening. Requiem Mass at 11.00 a.m. Saturday, January 23 at St Peter’s Cathedral. Please observe Covid-19 protocol on entering (sanitize hands, face covering, and social distance). Arrangements entrusted to MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Online condolences may be made at www.macleanfh.com
The CBC article, "Meet P.E.I.'s gentle giant with a heavenly voice" chronicled Allan's musical gifts and devotion to the choir at St. Peter's Cathedral.

On January 21, 2021 peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, we said goodbye to our very loved Mom, Wanda Elaine Doiron, beloved wife of the late Lorne Doiron. It breaks our heart to say goodbye, but we believe that she will be thrilled to see Dad once again.
Mom was a wonderful, caring and giving person with a loving smile and a thoughtful heart. Mom opened her home to anyone who needed a place to stay, a delicious meal or just to come in and talk. Mom loved buying toys for all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved meeting people at yard sales, as this was a wonderful way to hunt down bargains and to meet new friends.
Mom will always be remembered and forever loved by her family Warren (Anne), Mike (Ruthie), Pam (Dennis) and Bob (Lori), and by her many wonderful grandchildren Danielle, Monique, Ashley, Tyler, Chantel, Meaghan, Jordan, Brandy, Taylor, and Logan. Meme and Grammie as she is known by us, will also be forever missed by all her great-grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart.
Mom was the daughter of the late Warren and Marion Henderson, was a caring sister to Betty Savidant (Earl), Lorna Scott (the late Carl), Gail Scott (the late Garth), and Debbie MacRae (the late Bob).
Our family would also like to extend our sincere heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Neily and Dr. Hennessey, and all the nurses and staff at the QEH, especially Unit 3 for your kind compassion and attention to our Mom. May God continue to bless you all.
As per Mom’s wishes a private family ceremony will be held. If so desired, memorials to the Children’s Wish Foundation or the Hemophilia Society-PEI Chapter would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Online condolences may be made at www.macleanfh.com

Rev. Anthony Ware, B.Sc., B.D., cherished husband of the late Jackie Ware, passed away surrounded by the love of his children on January 15, 2021, after an illness fought with grace, faith, and a deep appreciation for life.
Surviving are his sons Christopher (Andra), Alberta; Andrew (Ann), PEI; daughters Beverley (Darrell Kays), Halifax and Nicola, Charlottetown; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Alice (the late Dr. John Ware), England; and brother-in-law Dr. Martyn Harris (Janet), England. He was predeceased by his parents, his devoted wife Jacqueline, son Timothy Martyn Ware (Kate), infant grandson David Andrew Miller, and brother Dr. John Ware.
Dad was born in Hong Kong on November 14, 1933, where his father, Dr. Thomas Walter, was a medical doctor in government service and his mother, Muriel Irene (Fursdon) was a teacher. He and his older brother John went back to England with their mother for their safety, which is where they were brought up.
Dad obtained his B.Sc. from the University of Bristol and became a Methodist Lay Preacher. He went on to study theology at the University of London where he obtained his B.D. In 1957 he and Jackie emigrated to Canada. Dad was ordained by Maritime Conference of the United Church of Canada in 1958 and served a number of churches on Prince Edward Island.
The family returned to England in 1961 where Dad served again in the Methodist Church, ministering first in the industrial north-east and then in the Channel Island of Jersey. From 1968 to 1975 he taught at a school in Devonshire, becoming Head of the Science Department.
He re-entered The United Church of Canada in 1975 and served churches in P.E.I., Bermuda, Halifax, and Cape Breton. He served on numerous Presbytery Committees, as Chair of PEI and Halifax Presbyteries, as Commissioner to General Council and was Minister Emeritus at Spring Park in Charlottetown.
Dad had a particular interest in faith development, lay ministry education, and the relationship between science and religion. He taught his children to be open-minded and to constantly question in the never-ending quest to seek understanding. We are forever grateful to him.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating Dad’s wonderful life will be held at Spring Park United Church, 65 Kirkwood Drive, Charlottetown, at a date to be announced when COVID restrictions have eased. Family flowers only. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to Spring Park United Church. Arrangements entrusted to MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Earl Vincent Clow (Aug 4 1932 - Jan 14 2021) died peacefully on Thursday morning, with his daughter Faye by his side at Dr. John Gillis Memorial Lodge, where he had been cared for by dedicated staff for the last 5 years of his life. A number of the nurses and staff at the lodge were community members who knew Earl in his younger years and could appreciate his cheeky sense of humour and quirky ways. He was 88.
Earl was a man of routine: breakfast dishes laid out the night before, shirts meticulously hung in the same direction in his closet. Card parties at least twice a week and church at St. Andrew's United on Sundays. He ate the same lunch nearly every day of his 36-year career with Canadian National Railways as a section man and train plow operator. Earl was the last section man on PEI, when the railway was decommissioned in 1989. While he worked in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick to earn pensionable service, Earl was never more happy than at home on the island where he could spend the summer fishing local rivers, the autumn hunting ducks and geese, and the winter in the smelt shack in Pinette.
Earl was a lifetime member of the Charlottetown Trap and Skeet Club, a former elder and steward of the United Church of Canada and a member of the CN Pensioners Association.
He had been married to Evelyn Clow for 65 years, until her passing in 2018.
He is survived by his brother; Victor (Lucy) of Pleasant Grove; his daughter Faye Clow (Ray Sharkey) of Cornwall; his step-son Errol MacLure (Mary-Lou) of Dover; his grandchildren Lauchlin (Rebecca) MacLure, Lana (Vincent) Chaisson, Laurel Lee MacLure, Jackie Sharkey, Danielle Sharkey; and great-grandchildren: Elijah Vandenborn, Gwen Chaisson, Luka Reuber and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents William and Lena Clow; his brother Elmer Clow; his sisters Hattie Mossman and Georgina Kavanagh; and his son Douglas Clow.
Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Funeral Saturday from St. Andrew’s United Church, Vernon Bridge at 10:30 a.m. (by invitation only). For those wishing to attend virtually, the service will be available on church’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/standrewsvernonbridge. Interment in St. John’s Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Belfast. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of PEI or St. John’s Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
